GREEN ENERGY TECHNOLOGY

 Green Energy Technology

The world is experiencing a rapidly growing demand for green, sustainable and renewable energy resources dictating a massive and earliest shift from polluting fossil-fuel and expensive and hazardous nuclear power plants to sustainable and cost-effective renewable energy resources. H. Sterling Group, like many other energy players around the world, is keen on the exploration of energy technology for the replacement of fossil fuel.

Hydrogen is the lightest and most abundant element in the universe and is considered the most environmentally friendly fuel. Hydrogen is a flammable fuel but has been proven to be as safe or even safer than gasoline or natural gas (methane) as it is lighter than air and quickly dissipates into the atmosphere. Fuel cells oxidize hydrogen in a chemical reaction can generate electricity, heat and water. Since they do not rely on the combustion of fuel, fuel cells do not produce any CO2 or greenhouse gases. When powering a backup power solution, hydrogen fuel cells can advance a utility’s efforts to produce clean energy while improving their service reliability.

Hydrogen is the energy for the future as for its high content of energy and zero carbon emission. However, the current technology of producing and transport hydrogen is extremely high and risky. We are the believers that the production of hydrogen by using methanol and ammonia can not only effectively reduce the cost but easily store it till use.

H. Sterling Group is working closely with its business partner in exploring the localization of its fuel cell systems which can produce energy from ammonia through electrochemical reactions with high efficiency, which gives significant advantages in applications such as off-grid power supply and large scale of energy storage.

Mobile Waste Management

Aiming to reduce environmental impacts in every project it undertakes, H. Sterling Group is working with partners to introduce an advanced waste management technology based on gasification and advanced thermal conversion technologies.

This new technology uses state-of-the-art equipment that allows the system to achieve low emissions and eliminate the need for auxiliary emissions capturing equipment. The system has several design features that make it more environmentally compliant than most other thermal treatment technologies and can meet and exceed any environmental standards from around the world. It is a highly mobile system with a modular concept, where the size of the proposed project will dictate the number of chambers to be used.

This new technology will provide destruction via thermal gasification of any daily waste, especially medical waste: biohazards, pathogens and chemotherapeutic wastes for hospitals, pharmaceutical, biotechnology companies and research & development institutions. Destruction by thermal gasification ensures the greatest liability protection, and is the safest, most reliable method for disposing of biohazards waste.
