Construction Advances for Yantai's LNG

By the close of 2023, the Yantai LNG project achieved an impressive 82% completion in its construction, transitioning seamlessly into the phase dedicated to berth construction and the installation of liquefaction equipment. Our optimistic outlook anticipates the full completion of project construction and commissioning by the conclusion of 2024.

With the joint efforts of H.Sterling and CURE, the Yantai LNG initiative stands poised to deliver steadfast energy support and serve as a natural gas emergency backup for Shandong Province and beyond, spanning the East and North China regions. This ambitious endeavor holds the promise of significantly enhancing the regional energy transformation.

Situated in West Yantai Port, Shandong Province, China, Yantai LNG's first phase comprises a 266,000 m3 berth, a 50,000 m3 transshipment berth, five 200,000 m3 storage tanks, and an independent waterway and anchorage site. The initial phase's reception capacity is set at an 5.9 million metric tons of LNG annually, accompanied by a regasification capacity of 40 million m3 of gas per day. The project is slated for launch by the early of 2025.
